So happy – Recall Events just won a race at the Sunshine Coast – well done Steve!

A great effort – this was Recall Events first race back after a break, and he was a long shot.

What a great race, he comes from behind and just gets past the post first. Watch the race, Recall Events comes out of Gate 2 and his number 9.

Galileo – having fun in the sun

Posted in canungra, Farmstay, gold coast hinterland, horses

Planning a holiday in Queensland?

The weather is great.

There’s lots to do in the Canungra Valley – visit local wineries, waterfalls, bush walks, markets, boutique shops in the Canungra and Mt Tamborine areas and it’s only 45 minutes to the Worlds – MovieworldDreamworldSeaworldWet and WildParadise Country and the Outback Spectacular.

There’s plenty of places to eat out – Canungra Hotel, Beaded Dragon, Albert River Winery, Songbirds, and many more.   Eating out at Mt Tamborine.

So – consider a visit to our farmstay – relax on the deck, watch the horses at play, swim in the pool, read a good book and spend time with your friends.

90 mm of rain overnight

Everyone is happy at the farm.

With 90 mm (3.5 inches) of rain overnight – we’ve got lots of puddles and the water tanks are overflowing.  The water is at the very top of the pool and the ducks are having a great time.

The grass is greening up and growing in some spots.  Of course – there’s still a lot of areas that are bare from the drought.

We now had as much rain this month, as we had for the last 12 months.

A great way to start the year!
